About Us

The Wild Ones Middle Tennessee Chapter is a new local chapter of the national non-profit organization Wild Ones.  We are dedicated to promoting the use of native plants in the landscape.  We have monthly meetings that are open to the public and are usually centered around educational programs led by guest speakers.  Other events our chapter participates in are hikes that focus on native plant identification, invasive plant removal, native plant rescues from future development sites, and tours of native plant gardens.

You can watch a slide show that will briefly explain some of the history of the national organization and of our local chapter.  It will also give examples of some of the events we have and how we view modern landscaping.  This slide show was created during the pre-COVID-19 era when our membership was 75 people. We currently (2024) have 210 members.
