The Cedar Creek Greenway Restoration
Amy Ritter
Amy’s love of plants began at an early age. At 16, she launched her education and career in landscaping by working at a local nursery. She later earned a degree in Landscape Design/Build and continued working in the nursery and growing industry through her mid-twenties.
She then took a five-year break from plant-related work “to see how normal people live,” but quickly realized that path wasn’t for her. After moving to Nashville in 2010, Amy returned to the field as a landscape designer, with a focus on Tennessee native plants—a passion she has continued to pursue for more than a decade.
In recent years, she has expanded her work to include environmental conservation, leading to her most recent effort: the Cedar Creek Greenway Restoration Project.
