Mike Berkley of GroWild, Inc. will give a presentation titled Native Plants:  Their Beauty and Benefit in the Home Landscape.

The State of Tennessee is one of the most biodiverse in the U.S. This is especially true for the plants. From the mountains of the Southern Appalachians to the bottomlands of the Mississippi River, the plant communities change as the topography changes. And with thousands of years of history, they have proven to be durable, adaptable and beneficial. They are beautiful too! Yet in most of our mainstream home landscapes, the indigenous species are the minority. Let’s take a look at some of the native plants that can also well in cultivated settings. Some are even rare and endangered species.
